Days 114 - 116 in South Dakota

Wednesday I took the girls to Storybook Island. It is a nice little park to walk through. We watched a little children's theater presentation. Aside from choosing the hottest day of the year so far to go, there was one big problem. See if you can guess from the photos below.

No, that is not snow on the hottest day of the year. This white fluffy stuff is from the cottonwood trees. There is so much cotton from these trees at times that it literally looks like it is snowing. It was even accumulated on the ground in spots. It has become such an issue that you are no longer allowed to plant cottonwood trees. Our trip was cut short by all this stuff floating around causing those of us with allergies to become quite miserable, but we were able to get some silhouettes done of the girls before we left.

Thursday was a bit stressful as we were going back and forth with our realtor and the person making an offer on our house in NC. We really want to get that house sold and not have to worry about it anymore.
Friday we finally came to an agreement on the house!!!! It will be sold the first week or so of August!!!! We have waited so long for this to happen. We are so excited and relieved. We did drop the price quite a bit, but we will be done with it and be able to move on with our lives. We will now get serious about finding a permanent house and prayerfully be moved by the time school starts. Yippee!!!
Friday night I watched my SIL's three girls. They are 9, 6 and 7 months old. It has been so long since we have had a baby in the house for that long. She was teething, so she was not the happiest baby all the time. But she did sleep through the night which was a blessing.
